Bronx Youth Center: Activities, Fun & Additional Services

In addition to providing programs for career and education support, the Bronx Youth Center also provides additional FREE programs and resources – including leadership training, recreational groups, workshops, and more. The first step to joining any of our programs is to become a member by coming to an intake session at the Bronx Youth Center on Tuesdays at 2 p.m.

ServiceWorks: Leadership & Community Service Training

ServiceWorks is perfect for young people aged 16-24 (in or out of school) who are seeking volunteer and leadership opportunities. Participants will receive training in leadership and workplace skills, get support in building networks and connections, and participate in volunteer service projects over the course of ten weeks. Each week that you’re in ServiceWorks, you’ll spend at least three hours with us developing new skills, spending time with a professional mentor, and participating in regular volunteer opportunities. Volunteering increases your chances of finding a job, and ServiceWorks’ unique structure helps you build a network of potential employers while developing core skills that employers look for in job candidates. To learn more about ServiceWorks, contact Justin Richardson at 212-941-9090, ext. 3229 or by email at
