Summary: We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator who will be an expert in Salesforce, the relationship management tool The Door uses to track clients and outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a resource for program staff, providing ongoing operational assistance and advanced technical issue resolution. The Senior Salesforce Administrator will create documentation on database protocol to streamline agency-wide operations, manage small- and large-scale in-house Salesforce implementations, and work strategically with programs to develop agency-wide data metrics and evaluation tools.


Salesforce Administration

  • Plan, coordinate and manage small and large-scale Salesforce Lightning implementations for various programs; work with program teams and/or external consultants
  • Serve as an internal expert on Salesforce and other third-party tools
  • Create fields, objects, validation rules, page layouts, workflow processes, and more to address and improve new and existing business needs
  • Provide maintenance on data tools as a system administrator
  • Migrate data from external and legacy systems, as needed
  • Identify and resolve data issues that affect multiple programs across the agency
  • Document processes and policies to maintain data integrity
  • Maintain the Salesforce budget, contracts, and invoices and RFP’s
  • Manage and mentor a talented Salesforce administrator as it relates to Salesforce

Program Partnership and Operational Strategy

  • Partner with program staff and other teams on process improvements to improve staff workflows with technology
  • Collaborate with program staff to design systems to collect and analyze program data to evaluate program performance and quality, within programs and across programs where possible
  • Establish positive working relationships and provide ongoing support for Salesforce users
  • Work with program managers to strengthen practices and systems for program and contract compliance
  • Integrate data across platforms to streamline reporting to external agencies
  • Handle inbound Salesforce requests including user management, troubleshooting, system change requests and report requests
  • Other duties assigned by manager


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • Minimum of 4 years of systems management experience, preferably in a non-profit environment
  • Strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Familiar with project management tools such as Asana
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies, ADKAR and Design Thinking principals
  • Proficiency in Salesforce required; Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Data Migration tools such as Dataloader
  • Demonstrated ability to design and write technical end-user documentation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to interface and work well with all levels of staff while maintaining confidentiality
  • Advanced skills in Office 365 particularly Excel for data analytics
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and adherence to department policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of SQL Database Administration preferred
