Our Family of Organizations

The Door is part of a unique family of organizations that also includes Broome Street Academy Charter High School and University Settlement. Our three organizations are joined together both legally and philosophically, working towards a common goal: to transform lives by connecting and empowering people, with compassion and dignity.

Collectively, we now serve over 40,000 New Yorkers of all ages, with a total staff of nearly 900 and a combined budget of more than $50 million. Our family of organizations is recognized for the quality of our programs, for our willingness to take risks to stay well ahead in the fields in which we engage, and for our financial stability.
