Brandon Blackwood honored at The Door and BSA's Fall Benefit for NYC Youth
We’re excited for The Door and Broome Street Academy’s Benefit for NYC Youth on Wednesday, October 16th. Join us in celebrating the stories of remarkable young people who walk our halls.
We’ll be honoring Brandon Blackwood, Founder, Creative Director, and CEO of Brandon Blackwood New York, with the Change Maker Award. Brandon was a member of The Door in his youth and has carved an inspired path, not only in design but also as a philanthropist and agent of social change.
Brandon Blackwood New York is a luxury fashion house that features accessories such as handbags and shoes as well as quickly expanding into new categories such as Ready-To-Wear.
Seven years since its first collection, the brand has gained global notoriety. It has been featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Forbes, New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, InStyle, and WWD, among others. Most recently, Brandon has been added as a member of the CFDA.
His fashion and design achievements have inspired people worldwide. Brandon has built a successful Black-owned brand that merges aesthetics with activism. He has also created new spaces for amplifying Black Lives Matter and other anti-racist movements.
