Recap: The Door's New Bronx Youth Ribbon Cutting

We are thrilled to announce The Door's NEW Bronx Youth Center space is officially open! With our new expanded space, we can provide holistic support and paths to thriving futures for South Bronx youth.

On Monday, September 18, elected officials, community partners, donors, volunteers, and other supporters gathered for a ribbon-cutting celebration to mark this momentous occasion and hear about, see, and tour the new facility and its program expansions.

The Door’s expanded programming vision in the Bronx is being made possible through a transformative gift by philanthropists Lynne and Richard Pasculano, in support of the BYC and its new suite of service offerings.

A huge thank you to Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, Bronx Borough Director from the Mayor’s Office Community Affairs Unit Leonardo Coello, Bronx Regional Representative from the New York State Executive Chamber Fidel Malena, and Senior Advisors to U.S. Senator Gillibrand Lisa Hofflich and Nancy Conde for their partnership and for celebrating this accomplishment with our community.

The new space will catalyze improved access to the growing community need for BYC programs and services. In addition to continuing to offer employment and education programming, BYC will provide mental health supports, arts programming, legal assistance, culinary services, and more.
